Mineral Baths

Much has been written about the benefits of mineral water. We will not highlight your qualities or indicators. Instead of boring articles, we will guide you where to take advantage of all its benefits while enjoying your vacation.

Banya is located just 9 km from Saint George Palace. The village is known and visited for its thermal springs.
For visitors, there are several options for using pools – for those who prefer convenience and a larger range of services (changing rooms, massage options, three pools and a “melter”), Regnum Thermal Spa is a good choice. the complex works all year round. The price for using the services starts from BGN 25 per adult per day. The “City Mineral Beach” of the village is open seasonally – from June to September. It offers three swimming pools – Olympic size and children’s.

The distance to the second option is only 10 km. – Dobrinishte. Alpha SPA is a frequently preferred destination by many people, as it combines swimming pools with mineral water and mountain views. A very suitable place for rest and relaxation. The complex offers 2 swimming pools with mineral water, a massage area, a restaurant, outdoor bars and a children’s corner with a pool for the youngest visitors.

Views and walks

If you are looking for a place to walk and fill your eyes with views and memories for a long time, here are some options:

leads to Golak hill, which in turn puts the city, Bansko and Pirin in your hands. The path has many informational and interactive boards and rest areas. Having climbed all the steps, you can enjoy an open view of the entire Razlog valley and the Pirin mountain. A 12-meter tower has also been built in the area, for adrenaline lovers, it reveals even more impressive views

Of course, we give the leading place to the Vihren hut – at 1972 m above sea level, the hut can be reached by a path or a picturesque asphalt road. During the summer season (June – September), for about BGN 10 per person, you can also take advantage of a regular bus line from Bansko to the lodge.

Hut Gotse Delchev – Dobrinishte is 20 km from the hotel and 1485 m above sea level, it can be reached by car or by forest path. The trail takes about 2.30 hours, but is increasingly difficult to follow due to less and less use. The canteen offers traditional regional dishes. The building has been completely renovated, located on a wide meadow, in the middle of a pine forest. There is also a chairlift nearby that takes those who wish to the Bezbog hut.

Of course, we will also give the Yavorov hut its due. The hosts will welcome you with a cup of aromatic herbal tea, which you probably haven’t tried anywhere else… only because the herbs are picked from the surrounding area. An interesting fact is that there is a “new hut” and an “old hut” – both buildings have been completely renovated. After the hike, enjoy delicious meals or a barbecue in the hut’s dining room with a view of the “Sabitsata” phenomenon, and on your way out, don’t miss visiting the “All Saints” chapel.

In the heart of Pirin Mountain, at 2240 m above sea level, is the Bezbog hut. In the immediate vicinity is the Bezbog Lake. The road to the hut runs from Dobrinishte, through the Gotse Delchev hut, and then by chairlift for about 40 minutes. The lift operates from 09:00 to 16:00, and do not forget that it is open. For lovers of off-road travel – there is also a dirt road to the hut, suitable for jeeps and all-terrain vehicles. For those planning mountain hikes in the area, the hut is a starting point for many popular routes.

One day adventures

For those of you who are looking for a longer walk, the destinations – Melnik and Rila Monastery are suitable for one-day excursions.

Rila Monastery is 98 km from Bansko (approximately 1:40 h). For centuries, Rila Monastery has been written and spoken about – we advise you to visit it and feel the magic. The main monastery temple is open every day from 06:30 to 19:00. Take time to visit the museums in the complex – icon exhibition, ethnographic exhibition, guest rooms and the Khrelyova Tower (from the 14th century).

You will reach Melnik in less than 2 hours (108 km). The smallest city in the country, famous for its high-quality wine. Melnik and the surrounding area are full of places to visit. The Melnik pyramids are a phenomenon that continues to change their shape even now.
